ADC Young Guns April 6, 2015
This is it, young creative professionals! You both hemmed and hawed; you second-guessed and you triple-doubted; you even let the $25 late fee kick in. But this Friday is the last chance for you to enter ADC Young Guns 13, the global competition for creatives of all stripes 30 years of age and under. And if you needed any more incentive to submit (other than following in the footsteps of the likes of Jon Contino, Jessica Walsh, Dana Tanamachi and so may others) well then we have news for you: international artists management agency LEVINE/LEAVITT is partnering with ADC Young Guns once again, with the intent to award at least one fortunate YG13 winner the Artist-in-Residence Award!
So what is the Artist-In-Residence Award? Quite simply, an ADC YG13 winner could also win one year of professional representation by LEVINE/LEAVITT. Last year, two YG12 winners were selected: photographer Kate Orlinsky and illustrator Kelsey Dake (who just described her Young Guns experience last week here in the ADC Blog)
“Receiving the Artist-In-Residence award was like when you order a thing of fast food french fries, and then open the bag and find out they gave you two helpings by mistake. It has turned out to be just as amazing as winning Young Guns.”
“ADC Young Guns comes with a lot of great opportunities, but LEVINE/LEAVITT has been able to really help make the most out of winning. They’ve taken me places I had only ever dreamed of going, both in the sense of meeting people and clients that were unaccessible before, but also helping me transform my career from being just editorial to getting to work with clients in advertising, book publishing, music and more. ”
“I’m super glad I got that extra helping of goodness.”
So if you haven’t entered YG13 yet, if you’ve been thinking ‘hmmm, maybe next year’, hopefully ADC and LEVINE/LEAVITT have given you some food for thought to make ‘next year’ this year.
