ADC Hall of Fame Laureate Passes Away
It is with a heavy heart that ADC announces the passing of legendary designer, illustrator and ad man Tony Palladino, who died yesterday at the age of 84. Tony had been a lifelong friend of ADC, and was inducted into the ADC Hall of Fame in 1987.
Below is a statement from George Lois, past ADC President, fellow ADC Hall of Fame laureate and close friend of Tony:
“The Art Directors Club sadly, but with great pride, honors Tony Palladino, a pioneering designer and art director, one of the greatest ever inducted into our Art Directors Hall of Fame. Love of images and words, inspired by his talent and humanity, were the essence of his incredibly innovative oeuvre. Through his work, Tony Palladino will live forever.”
Beyond being an ADC Hall of Fame laureate, Tony was the 1999 recipient of SVA’s Master Series Award, and has numerous works in the permanent collections of various museums, including MoMA.
