ADC Awards October 16, 2013
Mark your calendars, ADC members and fans! On November 11, 2013, ADC is scheduled to launch the ADC Annual 92 iPad app around the globe.
Developed by Sao Paulo-based agency the goodfellas in conjunction with ADC member Monica Eunji Kim, the ADC Annual 92 marks the first time in our nearly century-long history that the ADC Annual will be released 100% digitally. The ADC Annual 91 (still available in the App Store) was just the tip of the interactive iceberg; the ADC Annual 92 app will be the first to include every single Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit winner in all of their glory. You’ll be able to watch video and motion graphics entries as actual films, not merely thumbnails, and design, photography and illustration entries can be panned and zoomed to view every last detail. In addition, select Gold Cube winning entries will feature “Behind the Gold”, an inside look at the artistry and craftsmanship that went into their incredible projects.
The ADC Annual 92 app will be made available in the Apple App Store on November 11 for $19.99 USD. This price is for the general public; all current ADC members of all membership levels will be able to download the entire app absolutely free.
But like the late-night infomercials say, “But wait, there’s more!” To coincide with the launch of the ADC Annual 92 app, were also happy to announce the limited edition ADC iPad case! Sumptuously designed by ADC Young Guns 9 winner Pete Rossi and handmade by DODOcase, the ADC iPad case has been crafted to resemble the ADC annuals of the 1920s, complete with a representation of the Paul Manship Medallion, the club’s original highest honor.
For anybody familiar with DODOcase, you’ll know that this San Francisco company, whose roots are based in the traditional art of bookbinding, is known for crafting arguably the highest quality tablet, smartphone and e-book reader cases available anywhere. The ADC iPad case is made out of Moroccan book cloth, with a bamboo tray created with both aesthetics and protection in mind. The Pete Rossi designed exterior features flourishes that have been triple-stamped in foils, capturing every last detail.
DODOcase iPad cases retail from $59.95–$94.95 USD, but if you are one of the first 500 ADC Professional, Young Professional, Non-Resident/International and Platinum Student members who download the ADC Annual 92 app, you will receive this case absolutely free.
A free iPad app, a free handcrafted iPad case… what better time to be an ADC Member? Of course if you aren’t a member yet, you have until November 11 to get in on the action.
