Report from the inaugural Ubercloud event September 20th in Cologne, Germany
The inaugural Ubercloud event was a day-long creative summit and a new lead-in day to the Dmexco digital marketing conference in Cologne, Germany. The ADC was Dmexco’s lead partner organization in Ubercloud, curating content, speakers and the day’s themes.
The Art Directors Club’s presentations started off the day with a bang with Ije Nwokorie, Managing Director of Wolff Olins London, and his insightful multimedia presentation on the realities of branding in the new multimedia era vs. the traditional approach of the 20th Century. Ije was joined onstage by new ADC Board President Benjamin Palmer of the Barbarian Group to continue the discussion and take questions from the audience.
The ADC also presented panels including one on storytelling as a marketing strategy in digital media that included Benjamin Palmer, Kristin Sloan from JaegerSloan and Vivian Rosenthal of the "augmented reality" platform Goldrun; and another on expressing brand in the digital age featuring Jacob Cohen, James Hilton from AKQA and Casper Willer from Naked, with both panels moderated by Doug Jaeger, past ADC President. Alex Balfour, head of New Media for the London 2012 Olympics, provided a unique inside look into their global, multimedia marketing strategy.
Ubercloud was an exciting, full day of innovative content that connected the Art Directors Club with an entirely new audience.
