Henry Wolf Workshops
Each summer, ADC holds its annual Henry Wolf Photography Workshop, an introductory photography course designed to give New York City public high school students the opportunity to meet and learn from top photographers and producers. The program is generously supported by a 10-year grant from the Henry Wolf Foundation, in honor of the renowned graphic designer, photographer and past ADC president. As art director at Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar and Show magazines in the ‘50s and ’60s, Henry Wolf held great sway over American magazine design. His legacy now lives on through this weeklong programming presented by ADC.
Students from citywide public high schools are given a hands-on overview of the art and trade of commercial photography from experts in the field. Each student receives a digital camera to shoot assignments, and to take home after the workshop.
The ninth annual Henry Wolf Photography Workshop will be held August 15-26, 2016, in partnership with NYC Salt.
