Chris Seabrooks (New York)
A graphic designer and illustrator born and raised in Springfield, MA. An athlete turned artists at Alabama A&M University, when I got my hands on ceramics, painting and screen printing. Ever since I found love in the visual arts, I’ve been dreaming big, falling hard, and hoping I never come to my senses.
When I’m not pushing my boundaries in type and illustration, or dreaming up new ideas to better my world, I’m bouldering, or playing pickup basketball games (with designers of course; they’re easy to beat). I love a huge stack of pancakes, Saturday morning cartoons, and watching classic childhood shows like Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
In 2011, I earned a Masters in Fine Arts and Design from the School of Visual Arts in the groundbreaking Design as Entrepreneur program. My thesis project, Rubbish, an elementary school curriculum developed to engage children in creativity and utilize re-purposed materials, earned accolades for innovation in design and education.
