Young Guns 9 illustrator Jonathan Bartlett was recently interviewed by Dolce & Gabbana’s Swide Magazine. In the interview, Jonathan talks about how each illustration has its own unique challenges, whether it be a depiction of an animal or a fashion garment: “Speaking in terms of literal execution animals can be very difficult to draw. However, I find fashion to be challenging, in a good way, because I strive to bring more to an image’s narrative than simply ‘this is a tweed coat.’ Finding a unique angle and giving it more of a story is what makes the image unique and memorable.”
