Joanne Dugan recently announced her newest project, The Alphabet City, featuring movable adhesive word art compiled from more than a decade of photographing vintage urban typography in NYC’s five boroughs.
The Alphabet City started life as a teaching tool for Joanne’s youngson. By creating a series of vibrant letters that resonate for kids,Joanne inspires beginning readers to embrace the alphabet as a playfultool for life. A portion of the proceeds from The Alphabet City will bedonated to several non-profit organizations promoting education andliteracy.
