In response to ADC Executive Director Ignacio Oreamuno’s pledge to bring the global advertising and design community together when he joined the ADC six months ago, a new partnership with the Advertising & Design Club of Canada (ADCC) is the first partnership of its kind for the organization.
The partnership’s main focus is to begin bringing global communities together to continue the ADC’s mission to Connect, Provoke and Elevate, beginning with a more fluid dialogue between the US and Canadian ad industries.
“When I moved to Canada 12 years ago, I was surprised at the level of creative work, and wondered why it didn’t have more worldwide recognition,” said Oreamuno. "That’s why I started IHAVEANIDEA, and why I now want to help build a bridge to the international circuit for the best crafted executions and campaigns being created in the Great North. This partnership will help show the world what Canada is all about.”
Moving forward, the ADC will be offering a joint membership with the ADCC—membership to either organization includes the benefits of both clubs. Plus, anyone entering the ADCC Awards Show, Directions, will be offered two-for-one on entries into the ADC Awards (with some restrictions). The ADC will also be the main show sponsor at Directions 2012 in Toronto on November 15, 2012.
Furthermore, both organizations will be co-hosting a screening in Toronto of work from Directions, the ADC Awards and the Tomorrow Awards.
“This is an exciting and unique opportunity for the ADCC,” said President of the ADCC Board of Directors and Executive Creative Director, TAXI 2, Toronto, Lance Martin. “Canada produces amazing work, which isn’t always showcased outside of our market, and partnering with the ADC will give our work much-needed international exposure.”
Keep your eyes on Canada.
