ADC Talks: Achtung! and WeFilm, Amsterdam

On Thursday, April 23rd at 7pm, join creative Niels Straatsma from Achtung! and film director Jona Honer of WeFilm as they give a behind the scenes presentation of their process working on the award winning campaign for Vodafone “Vera’s First Concert” at Apple Store, Amsterdam.

Vera was born deaf and recently gained the ability to hear through her Cochlear Implant. They worked closely together with the Kyteman Orchestra, who composed and performed Vera’s First Concert.

Niels Straatsma is a creative at Achtung!, a creative agency for the digital era. His work has been recognized with several awards including an ADCN Gold Lampen, Cannes Lion and a Webby.

Director Jona Honer graduated from the National Dutch Film Academy where he experimented with various forms of documentary storytelling. His graduation film “I” won the VPRO Documentary Prize 2013 and the Pathé Tuschinski Award 2013. Jona now works at WeFilm.

Also joining the discussion will be Eva Zahrawi Ruiz, Head of Brand & Marketing Communications, Vodafone Netherlands. Eva graduated in Advertising and Public Relations. She moved to Amsterdam to join Cirque du Soleil. After working as Account Director at Wunderman, she moved to Vodafone. Since November 2014 Eva is on the board of ADCN (Netherlands).

The event will be moderated by Jennette Snape, the Global Marketing Director of PONY and Founder and Creative Director of the agency Dolly Rogers.
