ADC Young Guns 2016 — ADC Members Consideration

ADC Young Guns 2016 returns the global showcase of blossoming creative talent to its roots. Potential Young Guns winners no longer enter a competition, but instead must first be nominated by one or more members of a global committee of creative professionals. These nominators’ careers depend on keeping their eyes open for the freshest up and coming talent, and have been tasked with searching high and low within their various circles for burgeoning creatives who they feel worthy of being named a Young Guns winner.

That said, not even the most finger-on-the-pulse creative influencers see all, and thus we are offering ADC Members the opportunity to be considered by the esteemed ADC Young Guns 2016 Jury.

FAQ

So ADC Young Guns is free to enter this year?

That’s correct, but you must be a current ADC Member.

I’ve entered ADC Young Guns before. Can I enter again?

Yes, as long as you meet all of the above criteria. Please note that past winners cannot enter Young Guns again.

What kind of work can I enter?

We accept work that spans the following creative disciplines: graphic design, photography, illustration, advertising and art direction, environmental design, film, animation & video, interactive design, architecture, copywriting, and typography. If your work does not fit within any of these categories, this does not necessarily mean that it isn’t eligible – email adcyoungguns@adcglobal.org to make sure.

Not all of my projects are in English. Should I include a translation?

Yes, please include any translations with your submission.

Do I have to include personal projects?

No. At least half of your submissions must be professional projects, but you may choose to submit all professional projects.

Can my partner and I enter as a team?

Yes! Teams of up to three people may enter as one, either by studio name or as individuals. All team members must be ADC Members, and meet the eligibility criteria. Please note that past winners are ineligible to win again, even as part of a team consisting of non-winners.

I’ve entered… now what?

Your submission will be vetted by a committee led by ADC staff during the week of May 23, 2016. During the week of May 31 2016, the selected entrants will be notified and asked to prepare their work to be reviewed alongside the nomination committee’s selections by the ADC Young Guns 2016 jury.
