Managing Partner, Code and Theory
Steven Baer joined Code and Theory in December 2009 as Partner and Chief Strategy Officer. He created a new agency model for marketers with his launch of Code and Theory’s Brand Design Group, which counts among its digital AOR clients Burger King, New York Life and Maybelline. His conception of radical, nimble processes like the Brand Content Studio —which creates content upon a layer of channel strategy —has been recognized by Business Insider, which listed him as one of the “30 Most Creative People in Social Media.”
Prior to launching the Brand Design Group, Baer built and led the Creative Strategy discipline across the agency, leveraging the skills of both product and brand communications strategists and visual and UX designers, framing the team that remains at the heart of the company’s creative process today.
Prior to joining Code and Theory, Baer served as Senior Strategy Director at TBWA Chiat / Day and Managing Director at Fullsix in London. He began his career at Y&R New York in 1997.
