Shirin Johari

Founder and Creative Head, Clap Global

Shirin Johari is an visual artist, innovator and entrepreneur, Founder and Creative Head at Clap Global. From 2005 to 2015, she worked as an advertising creative innovating in brand building, graphic design, installations, typography and performances.

She has worked with JWT, Ogilvy and Mather, Creativeland Asia, DDB Mudra and TBWA.

Along the way, she has won numerous national and international awards for her work, the most recent being a Cannes Design Gold for creating The Hinglish Project. She has also won at One Show, LIA, Asia Pacific, Spikes Asia, The Work and at Young Guns, and was named The Young Achiever’s Creative Person of the Year in 2008. She was featured as one of Impact magazines Top 30-Under 30 2013 media personalities of advertising and marketing in India. Her work has been featured in the Triennale Design Museum in Milan and she has been a guest speaker at the Mumbai chapter of Creative Beta Mornings. She has been featured live on a radio talk show and has been profiled in numerous publications.

Shirin believes that creative work should either solve a problem, enlighten, change social perceptions or simply entertain.

After two years as a Creative Director at TBWA Mumbai, she moved on to conceptualise Clap Global with the aim of creating a larger social and cultural impact through her work.
