Imaginary Forces

In the past 15 years, Michelle Dougherty has led projects for Broadcast / Network Design, Television and Film Title Sequences, Feature Film Marketing, Advertising, and Experiential Design. She is both a graduate and former teacher at Art Center, Pasadena, and carries a strong point of view that design is a discipline that must balance form and function in order to be truly effective.

Michelle’s projects have garnered awards from D&AD and The Art Directors Club, as well as being featured at the Walker, Hammer, and Cooper-Hewitt. Her work has been published in the highly rated book Graphic Design: Now In Production, and has been featured in Communication Arts, Art of the Title, and Creativity, to name a few. In addition to her role at Imaginary Forces, Michelle is also an ambassador to a class at Otis College of Art and Design, focusing on the importance of utilizing visual literacy to demonstrate mastery of a topic to an audience.
