Just in time for the last remnants of our Miami Beach tans to fade away, ADC is headed back to a world of sand and sun! Yes, ADC will be “off” to OFFF Barcelona 2014 for three days of creative transformation.

Kicking off tomorrow until May 17 in Barcelona, OFFF is a conference that fully embraces creativity, technology and art. It’s a “post digital culture festival”, as they say, which makes it just the kind of event that ADC can get behind, both in spirit and as an official sponsor!

So what will we be doing at OFFF? Well for one thing, OFFF will mark the debut of the brand new ADC Awards Exhibition, which will showcase some of the best work from the ADC 93rd Annual Awards. Designed by award-winning agency Sid Lee, this exhibit will employ all your senses and alter your conception of art. It will be tactile, it will be engaging and it might even make you sweat a bit, although we don’t know if that will be from the caliber of the Cube winning work or from the mechanical contraptions used to honor it. It’s Da Vinci-meets-Rube Goldberg-meets Jean-Claude Van Damme, and we hope you’ll enjoy it!

ADC will also be unleashing Laser Cat at OFFF in a thrilling encore performance! Laser Cat, the gigantic feline-shaped art installation that made its debut a few weeks ago at the ADC Festival of Art + Craft in Advertising and Design. A totem to creative expression and built by OFFF Conference favorites Hungry Castle, Laser Cat will  be projecting the personal art projects of creative professionals from his laser beam eyes. Pew pew!

ADC will also be bringing a full display of the highly coveted ADC Cubes and the luxurious iPad cases designed to resemble the ADC annuals of the 1920s — a perfect housing for the ADC Awards iPad app!

For those of you making the trek to Barcelona for OFFF — over 3,000 of you, from what we’ve heard — be sure to say hi to the ADC team. If you’re not already an ADC member, this will be your big chance to join, along with some other ADC surprises.
