Doug Jaeger

Named by Brandweek as a “Marketer of the NEXT Generation”, Doug has had a career of forward looking creative design and marketing experience, and continues his involvement in the industry through his 6 years on the ADC board, as its president from 2008-2011 as well as his new role as a teacher at SVA.

With a wide range of experience, including executive leadership at both JWT and TBWA\, starting an experimental creative shop, thehappycorp, at age 28, serving as Innovation Director at the venerable Canadian firm TAXI, and extensive work with global brands – DeBeers, ABSOLUT Vodka, Merrill Lynch, Orbitz, MoMA, Brooklyn Brewery, Anhuesher Busch, and Dewar’s – Doug has a unique point of view on any creative business challenge.

In the summer of 2010, Doug started a new creative studio called JaegerSloan Inc, with his partner Kristin Sloan. Taking what he learned at large companies and starting and running thehappycorp for 6 years, Doug and Sloan are combining their expertise to embark on a new creative journey. Operating a storefront on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, they are part gallery, part design agency, and part media production company, working with clients such as Bloomberg LP, Samsung USA and Diller Scofidio + Renfro.

Born on Long Island, and having spent time in Minnesota and New Jersey, Doug now resides in the East Village. He earned a BFA at Syracuse University in computer graphics – a combined degree with Computer Science and The School of Visual and Performing Arts. He is a regular industry speaker, and commentator on such news programs as Good Morning America and CNBC.
