Sarah Shanks

Sarah is an artist currently living and working in Brooklyn. After graduating, she moved to New York City and began working for ADC in September 2014, where she has enjoyed building personal relationships with each of ADC’s talented members. A firm believer in the art of letter writing, you can expect her to send you some old-fashioned snail-mail if you’re a member of ADC. Feel free to contact her with any questions about your membership.

Sarah pursued a B.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College. Simultaneously, she completed a M.A. in Art History at Ohio University with a research focus in the history of photography. Much of her art and research focuses on the relationship between family photographs and memory. She is also passionate about nurturing a global perspective, having taught English in Ecuador and traveling to Brazil for photographic projects.
